The International Cultural Heritage Course aims to raise practical skills to work in the field of cultural heritage internationally.

Major Introduction

In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the necessity of fostering convergent professionals who can pioneer a new future and inherit cultural heritage through change and innovation has been raised. Moreover, the need to foster talented individuals with international capabilities to perform duties in heritage-related international organizations and institutions has been raised. To cultivate international integrated professionals, two graduate schools, both the Graduate School and the Graduate School of Cultural Heritage at the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage, have jointly established the International Cultural Heritage master’s degree course.

Curriculum

  • This course aims to establish a knowledge base on cultural heritage through theoretical lectures on cultural heritage policy, conservation, restoration and utilization, digital heritage, etc.
  • This course will provide joint courses with other universities which are holding the UNESCO Chair Programme regarding the cultural heritage field and provide lectures by domestic and international experts in the area of heritage.
  • This course will provide internship opportunities at international organizations and institutes and exchange programs with other universities abroad for the students to accumulate practical skills and international experience.
