Application Qualification

Undergraduate Course-Student Exchange
  1. 1 Students who have completed 2 semesters or more and who can take from third to seventh semesters
  2. 2 Students who have acquired 36 credits or more and whose GPA is 3.0 or higher
  3. 3 Students without any record of disciplinary action or scholastic probation according to the university regulations
  4. 4 Students without any reason for disqualification from overseas travel including military service law when wanting to study abroad as an exchange student
Undergraduate Course-Credit Exchange
  1. 1 Students who have completed 2 semesters or more and who can take from a third to seventh semesters
  2. 2 Students whose GPA is 2.00 or higher in the previous semester
  3. 3 Students without any record of disciplinary action or scholastic probation according to the university regulations
Graduate, Postgraduate Course
  1. 1 Students who have completed 1 semester or more and can take from 2nd to 3rd semesters
  2. 2 Students who have acquired 12 credits or more and whose GPA is 3.0 or higher
  3. 3 Students without any record of disciplinary action or scholastic probation according to the university regulations
  4. 4 Students without any reason for disqualification from overseas travel including military service law when wanting to study abroad as an exchange student

Application

Students who apply for the exchange student program should receive recommendations from their academic advisor/professor or dean and submit the following application documents to the President through the dean of university or graduate school to which the student belongs.

  2. 2 Recommendation Letter of Academic Advisor
  3. 3 Academic Transcript

Academic Credit Authorization

  1. 1 Credit recognition is limited to 1/2 of the graduation credits.
  2. 2 Credits are recognizable only for the subjects listed in the study plan, but credits of the subjects that are not in the plan must go through a university review board for recognition when students take a subject that are not in the plan for any reason.
  3. 3 Credits earned in other universities in Korea are subject to conversion according to the university criteria, and will be included in the GPA calculation.
  4. 4 Credits earned in other overseas universities will show on the academic transcript, but will not be included in GPA calculation. Students approved to take courses in other overseas universities should submit a credit authorization application to the dean along with an academic transcript of the overseas university, credit recognition method and course summary (translation included) being attached. The dean must make a report of the submission to the head of the Education and Training Division after getting the approval of the review board and confirmation of the dean of college and dean of graduate school.
  5. 5 Credit of the same subjects a student previously took in NUCH are not recognized.
